Welcome to ComeFront. By creating an account and using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Parham Paziraie d/b/a ComeFront ("ComeFront," "we," "us," or "our").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
ComeFront is a tool that helps people communicate with people they know through features such as agreements, desk items, blueprints, and notices. It is offered as-is, free to use.
To use ComeFront, you create an account with your name, email, and a username. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. By using ComeFront, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Please use accurate information so that people you communicate with know who you are. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Anything you create on ComeFront — agreements, desk items, notices — belongs to you. You grant ComeFront a limited, non-exclusive license solely to store and display that content to you and the users you explicitly connect with, for the purpose of operating the service.
How you use these features is entirely your own responsibility. What you write, who you share it with, and how you handle your communications is up to you.
Your friend connections are governed by your privacy settings. You choose who can see your friends list and whether you appear in others' friends lists, and ComeFront respects the corresponding choices of the people you connect with — you appear in someone's friends list only when both of you allow it.
Creating a blueprint is entirely voluntary. You are never required to submit one.
By submitting a blueprint, you irrevocably assign to ComeFront all rights, title, and interest in that submission worldwide and in perpetuity, including any copyright and patent rights you may hold in it. ComeFront may use, modify, distribute, implement, or delete the submission without notice, compensation, or further obligation.
You represent and warrant that the submission is your own original idea, that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, contractual, or confidentiality rights.
Submissions are not confidential. Do not submit anything you wish to keep secret or that is subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
ComeFront may publicly credit submitters whose ideas inspire shipped features (see the Origin page). This attribution is a goodwill gesture at ComeFront's sole discretion, not a contractual obligation, and does not transfer or limit any of the rights assigned above.
If you do not agree to these terms, simply do not create a blueprint.
You agree not to use ComeFront to:
Violations may result in account termination without notice.
ComeFront has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. If you encounter a user or piece of content that violates these rules, you can report it using the Report feature available on profiles, desk items, notices, and agreements, or block any user using the Block feature. We review all reports and take action within 24 hours, which may include removing offending content and permanently suspending offending accounts.
You may not use offensive or abusive language in your profile. Your name, headline, and bio are screened automatically each time you set or change them, and your username is screened when you change it. Anything that does not pass is refused and is not saved.
All features in ComeFront — including agreements — are personal organizational tools and friendly reminder notes between people. They are not legally binding contracts between users and carry no legal obligation. If you need a real legal agreement, please consult a lawyer and use a proper legal service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO PROMISES ABOUT UPTIME, AVAILABILITY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COMEFRONT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, SECURITY INCIDENTS, INTERPERSONAL DISPUTES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
ComeFront takes no legal responsibility for anything that happens through the use of this service. You use ComeFront at your own risk and discretion.
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ComeFront after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or ComeFront. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 13 of these Terms survive termination.
You may not use or export ComeFront in violation of applicable export laws and regulations. By using ComeFront, you represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ComeFront shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Sacramento County, California.
If you reside in the European Union or the United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may apply in addition to or instead of the above.
ComeFront is free to use. "Backing" is an optional way to support the ongoing development and running costs of the app. Backing does not change any core functionality — every communication feature of ComeFront (desk items, notices, agreements, blueprints, and friends) works the same whether or not you back it, and no limits are removed. What backing does enable is the Backer Badge described below, which includes profile features that are available only while your backing is active.
As a token of recognition for supporting the app, active backing enables the Backer Badge. It has three parts, and each is available only while your backing is active:
These enhancements are tied to recent backing and are time-limited. Each contribution counts toward your Backer Badge for 30 days, after which its contribution decreases gradually over the following days until it no longer counts. When your backing lapses entirely, your Backer Badge and avatar king are removed and your profile reverts to the default avatar; any picture you uploaded is kept so it can be restored if you back again. You may hide your Backer Badge from other viewers at any time in your profile settings — hiding it does not remove an uploaded profile picture, and you continue to see your own badge marked as hidden.
In the iOS app, backing is offered as one-time purchases only, and nothing renews automatically. On the ComeFront website, backing is offered both as one-time amounts and as a monthly recurring amount; monthly backing on the web is an auto-renewing subscription.
For monthly backing on the web:
On the web, you buy backing from Parham Paziraie trading as ComeFront; Stripe processes the payment, and you can manage or cancel a monthly subscription from your billing settings at any time. Backing starts immediately, but we do not ask you to give up your right of withdrawal. You may withdraw from a new web backing contract, including a one-time backing or a new monthly subscription, within 14 days after you enter that contract, without giving a reason. Use "Withdraw from contract here" in your billing settings, or email admin@comefront.com with details identifying the purchase. We will promptly acknowledge your request by email and refund the full payment to the original payment method without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your request. Withdrawal from a monthly subscription also ends that subscription and future charges. A refunded payment no longer counts towards your Backer Badge, and if your remaining backing falls to zero your Backer Badge, avatar king, and any custom profile picture are removed accordingly. On iOS, Apple handles App Store payments, refund requests and applicable withdrawal rights under its terms; we cannot refund an App Store charge ourselves. This does not limit any additional rights under applicable law.
Every backing you make is recorded against the ComeFront account you were signed in to when you made it, so it applies on any device you sign in to with that account. On iOS, backing is sold as one-time purchases, which Apple does not restore through your Apple Account; "Refresh my backing" on the "Back the App" screen re-reads your backing from your ComeFront account instead, and completes any purchase that had not finished recording. If you back while signed in to a different ComeFront account, that backing belongs to that account.
